A little update. The new album is all done. Well almost.. one very special detail needs to be done and we still need to do the mastering which we will also do in London. Our drummer Mike Coolen is still touring with Within Temptation until april. But we won’t sit still. Before that we will release at least a first single of the new record we won’t keep you waiting much longer. We are very proud British singer songwriter Jon Allen helped us with the backing vocals. We hope to schedule the release soon. Will keep you posted!

In the mean time Ruud is working on the music for a 13 episodes of 40 minutes each, documentary series for Dutch national television that will be broadcasted starting in January 2013. It’s beautiful view on the Dutch Golden Age, in the 17th century.  Cloudmachine buddy Marco will help out on the keys.

Een kleine update. Het nieuwe album is klaar. Dat wil zeggen.. Op een enkel detail na. En het moet nog gemasterd worden, wat we ook in Londen gaan doen. Drummer Mike is nog tot april aan het toeren met Within Temptation. We hopen dat wij de periode erna weer vol aan de bak kunnen met de nieuwe plaat. Leuk om te melden is alvast dat Jon Allen veel backing vocals voor zijn rekening neemt. We zijn druk met de planning van de release en aanverwante zaken. Een eerste single van de nieuwe plaat zal niet lang meer op zich laten wachten.

Ondertussen werkt Ruud aan muziek voor de 13-delige documentaire serie De Gouden Eeuw van de NTR/VPRO die in januari 2013 op NED2 zal worden uitgezonden. De presentatie is in handen van Hans Goedkoop, bekend van Andere Tijden. Marco zal er ook zeker een aandeel in hebben op diverse instrumenten.

We spelen maandag 21 november op Festival Canapé, een nationaal huisconcertfestival. We spelen dit jaar in Obdam. Ook Rob Klerkx (Moke)speelt deze avond. Ruimte is beperkt, opgeven kan via deze link. Rechts in het RESERVEREN vlak de datum selecteren en de rest wijst zich vanzelf… Wees welkom!

Op dit moment wordt het nieuwe album gemixt. Tegen het einde van oktober zal dat ongeveer klaar zijn. Ondertussen zijn we druk met photoshoots, artwork concept voor album, website, posters etc. Nu Mike op wereld tour is met Within Temptation doen wij incidenteel een akoestische show terwijl we de album release gaan voorbereiden.

At the moment the new album is being mixed. By the end of October it will be nearing it’s final stages. We have things planned, photo shoots, working on the artwork concept that will be adapted for album, website, posters etc. While Mike is on world tour with Within Temptation we’ll do an occasional acoustic show. And prepare for the album release.

Vorige week is Ruud teruggekomen na 10 dagen Engeland waarin de laatste beetjes gitaar en al een heleboel zang is opgenomen voor het nieuwe album. Wat nu nog gedaan moet worden is een dag of 3 werken aan de laatste zangpartijen en backingvocalen. Hopeljk met wat speciale gasten. Deze sessie zal spoedig ingepland worden. Daarna is het mixen geblazen!

Last week Ruud came back from 10 days in the UK with 8 days of hard labour tracking vocals and a few remaining guitar bits for the new album. Now, what is left is another 3 days that will be scheduled soon to record the last few vocals and backing vocals. Hopefully with some special guests. Then the mixing will start!

Sinds 6 juli (pas 4 weken maar het lijkt een eeuwigheid) hebben we het grootste deel van ons nieuwe album opgenomen met onze producer Tristan Longworth (Jon Allen). Tristan stak eerst het kanaal over om hier Mike en Ray en de strijkers op te nemen in Studio Zeezicht bij Haarlem. Ruud en Marco hebben het kanaal al twee maal overgestoken naar Engeland. Eerst om Ruud’s gitaarpartijen en Marco op Wurlitzer op te nemen. Daarna nog een keer samen met Richard om zijn gitaren, piano, Hammond en accordeon op te nemen. We nemen nu een kleine pauze. Het was hard werken maar we zijn blij met het resultaat. Ruud gaat binnenkort terug om zang en de laatste dingetjes op te nemen. We houden je op de hoogte!

Allright, a little update. Since July 6th (only 4 weeks but seems ages ago) we have recorded the greater part of our new record with our producer Tristan Longworth (Jon Allen). Tristan crossed the channel first to record Mike and Ray and the string players at Studio Zeezicht near Haarlem. Ruud and Marco crossed the channel to England, once to record Ruud’s guitar parts and Marco on Wurlitzer. And a week after that, we went again with Richard to record his guitars, piano, accordeon and Hammond. Now we have a little break. It’s been hard work but we are very happy with the results. Ruud will go back soon to record vocals and the last few bits. We’ll keep you posted.
